Peggy's Post (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. We deliberately collect and store only the minimum information needed to operate this platform. Your data is never sold, shared, or used for tracking or profiling.

1. Information We Collect

• Email address: Used to create your account, send you notifications (e.g. new messages, password resets, platform updates), and enable login.
• ZIP Code: Used only to display local listings in your area. We do not derive or infer any additional location data.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Account management: To authenticate you and let you access your dashboard.
• Notifications: To inform you of unread messages, password resets, and important platform updates.
• Local listings: To filter and display goods available near your ZIP code.

3. No Additional Tracking or Profiling

We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, or browsing or behavioral data. We use a standard session cookie to keep you logged in. Stripe may set additional cookies to process payments securely. These are required for payment functionality and are subject to Stripe’s policies. We do not use web beacons, scripts, or third-party analytics that track your activities across the internet.

We use only essential session cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain your account session. These cookies are temporary and do not track your behavior across other websites. No marketing, analytics, or tracking cookies are used by the Platform.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your email or ZIP code with any third parties. The only time we share data is in direct response to a valid legal request (e.g. a court order), and we will notify you unless legally prohibited.

5. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures (SSL/TLS for data in transit, hashed passwords at rest) to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

6. Data Retention

We retain your email and ZIP code for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or we terminate it, we permanently remove your data from our systems within 30 days.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has created an account, please contact us to have that data removed.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we’ll post the new date at the top and notify logged-in users by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Stripe Payments

Subscription payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or process your payment information. All payment data is handled in accordance with Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

10. Platform Updates and Emails

By creating an account, you agree to receive occasional platform updates or feature announcements. These are limited to critical platform news and will not include third-party marketing. You may opt out of these update emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link provided.

11. User-Generated Content

The Platform allows users to submit content such as listing descriptions and profile bios. This content is not actively moderated, pre-screened, or reviewed by Peggy's Post. Users are fully responsible for the content they post and for ensuring that it complies with our Terms of Service and applicable laws.

While we employ automated profanity filtering and allow users to report inappropriate content, we do not guarantee the removal of reported content or the prevention of offensive material from appearing on the Platform.
